Heavy D Died at 44

 Rotund rap legend Heavy D passed away at 44 years old on Tuesday after collapsing in his home in California. Heavy D was raised in the Westchester County. The entertainer was taken by an ambulance to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at 11:25 in the morning but unfortunately did not make it. He died after 90 minutes of being in the hospital, cops told the Daily News. 

Lt. Mark Rosen of the Beverly Hills Police Department said that Heavy D was still conscious and he was actually talking to when officers responded to a call in 911 from his condo in Beverly Hills. 

Heavy D’s real name was Dwight Arrington Myers, Rosen said that the portly rapper was having difficulty breathing when paramedics rushed him to the hospital. The rapper had just returned from Europe, KTLA news in Los Angeles reported and he was actually struggling from pneumonia.
