Christmas Tree is Up

 Our Christmas tree is up since the 3rd of November. Before my nephew died, we traditionally put up our Christmas tree at the beginning of the Ber months. Yes, as early as September. We have all the ber months to celebrate Christmas in our country. 

Christmas decorations, and Christmas lights and lanterns are everywhere. Shopping malls are lit with colorful blinking lights and people are literally like ants inside the mall. As early as September, people are shopping for Christmas gifts for their family, friends, and Godchildren. Shopping malls are open longer during these periods to accommodate more people who want to shop for ideal gifts for Christmas. 

Even if we can’t feel the Christmas spirits here, we are still up for what we have traditionally done back home. Although, Christmas lights are not needed to be lit because it is still bright at 9 in the evening but still we put them up anyway. Our Christmas tree theme is colors red and gold. It is beautiful to the eyes. Christmas is near, awaiting for Jesus’ birthday! Merry Christmas everyone!
