Gluten-free foods are healthier
Many believed that gluten-free foods are healthier. The truth is, gluten-free foods are only healthier for those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance. GLuten-free products can still be high in saturated fat, sugar and kilojoules. Unless gluten is a problem, the healthiest breads and cereals contain whole grains and fibre and are low-GI, rather than simply being gluten-free.
Many parents of children with Autism believed in the good effects of gluten-free foods to their child. It decreases hyperactivity according to them. Their child's attention lengthens and they focus much better.
