iPad 2 Released in New Zealand Today
America had released ipad 2 on 2nd of March, and it was on sale on March 11. Today marks the release of iPad in New Zealand and for the rest of the world.
iPad 2 is now available in New Zealand. Apple fans are certainly excited about this. They are very eager to anticipate a long queue in stores just to get their hands on, in this newly released iPad 2. Despite of not going on sale until 5 pm this afternoon, people have started to pile up and queue in outside some stores.
In Yobee store in Newmarket, in Central Auckland, 10 people are actually gathered outside before 9am, however, many have left the store and planned to go back before 5 pm, when the sale is going to start.
It's retailing at a very reasonable price of $799. Apple markets the iPad 2 as "thinner," "lighter," and "faster" than its predecessor. The new model boosts up to nine times the graphics performance. If the first released iPad has no camera, iPad 2 has two built in cameras - one on front and another one on back, High Definition video recording, a dual core A5 chip and 10-hour battery life.
Apple Stores could take your orders online from 2:30 am this morning, however their purchases won't be on their hands for another two or three weeks.
